Kate Sellers (Director/Writer)

Kate has as a track record in adapting and directing for the theatre and has now moved into film. She adapted and directed the stage play Anastasia (★★★★ Evening Standard), Misery by Stephen King (★★★★ The Scotsman), as well as adapting and directing short stories for the stage including Story Without a Title by Anton Chekhov and No Such Thing as a Vampire - a thriller for Fright Nights at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has also adapted and work-shopped the novel Darkness at Noon by Arthur Koestler.

Kate’s feature film is itself a screen adaptation of her version of the play Anastasia by Marcelle Maurette, and the short film Piotr will serve as the prologue to this feature film. “Having spent the past 10 years getting to know the characters in this story, they kind of wrote the screenplay for me”.

Alice produced the award winning short film I'm in the corner with the bluebells which was officially selected at the Toronto International Film Festival 2014 and eight other festivals worldwide picking up best director at Mika. She also starred in, co-wrote and produced the feature film If it be Love which won her best actress and best no-budget feature at the London Independent film festival.
