Additional Information

Marina Dulepina is a Latvian filmmaker based in London. Her passion for independent cinema led her to study film at the University of West London. There she learned all complexities of the filmmaking process, from production to editing, giving her a broad vision when realising projects as a writer, director and editor.

Born from Russian parents, she grew up between two different cultures, giving her two natural sources of inspiration for her creative work. This has opened her mind to the world of artistic possibilities where curiosity has fed her ideas and view of cinema. Her producing credits include the black and white 16mm short comedy JUMP-CUT JEFF (Rob Munday) which screened at the London Short Film Festival, MARRYING THE SUN (London Film School) and a period short drama PORTRAIT. Her editing credits include commercial work and short films produced by Media Park, V Makeup and the University of West London.

Her first short film as writer/director, DEREK, is in the final stages of post-production, and she is currently writing her next short film, MERMAID.
